Kingston
First Step at Kingston Day Care
First Step at Kingston Pre-Kindergarten is a private, non-profit childcare facility designed to meet the needs of children preparing for kindergarten. Pre-Kindergarten educators offer a balance of structure, play and exploration while assisting their students to develop strong self-image while developing respect for others.
Hands In Harmony
Hands in Harmony is a Rhode Island-based 501(c)(3)Â nonprofit that has provided evidence-based Music Therapy services since 2003. Its Board-Certified Music Therapists support children and adults with developmental, medical, neurological, mental health, and age-related needs. Through individualized care, they help improve communication, movement, cognition, emotional well-being, and quality of life. Hands in Harmony partners with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations across Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.
Fogarty Center South County Day Program
Provides community based support and service to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Through this program, participants build life skills, foster community connections, and engage in vocational skill development and gainful employment.
The Fogarty Center Children's ProgramÂ
The Fogarty Center Children’s Program is a private non-profit human services agency providing services for children ages 3-21 years of age with support services such as Home-Based Therapeutic Services, Personal Assistance Services and Supports, Enhanced Outpatient Services (EOS), Child Family Intensive Treatment and Respite Services. Their mission is empowering people to improve the quality of their lives.Â
Each of the Fogarty Center Children’s Services fosters a partnership where the family and child define what should be done and the Fogarty Center Team describes how it can be done.
URI Kinesiology DepartmentÂ
The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Rhode Island studies human movement, physical activity, exercise, health, and performance across the lifespan. The department offers B.S., M.S., accelerated B.S./M.S. (ABM), and Ph.D. specialization pathways in Kinesiology. Through rigorous coursework, hands-on laboratory experiences, internships, and research opportunities, students develop the knowledge and skills needed for careers in healthcare, fitness, rehabilitation, and research. Supported by expert faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, the department promotes innovation, experiential learning, and lifelong health across diverse populations.
URI Speech & HearingÂ
URI Speech & Hearing provides hearing testing, hearing aid services, aural rehabilitation, speech-language evaluations, and therapy for adults and children. Services also include support for speech, language, and cognitive challenges following stroke, traumatic brain injury, or other neurological conditions.

Advocates In Action RI
Advocates in Action RI is a statewide non-profit self-advocacy organization that empowers people with developmental disabilities to speak up for themselves and others. The organization provides leadership training, resources, community education, and self-advocacy support to help individuals make informed decisions, build independence, and stay involved in the community.
The Arc of Blackstone Valley
The Arc of Blackstone Valley is a non-profit organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization helps individuals build community connections, access person-centered services, and participate more fully at home, at work, and in their neighborhoods.
Blackstone Valley Development Corporation
Blackstone Valley Development Corporation is a non-profit organization connected with The Arc of Blackstone Valley. The organization develops, owns, and manages affordable housing and community-based living options for adults with disabilities, veterans, and older adults
Communities for People
Communities for People is a non-profit organization that supports youth and families through foster care, residential programs, counseling, and home-based services. The organization focuses on helping young people and families build stability, independence, and long-term community connections.
URI College of Health Sciences
The URI College of Health Sciences prepares students for careers in health, wellness, research, and community-based care. The college also supports counseling and community services through programs such as the Couple and Family Therapy Clinic, Speech and Hearing Centers, and Healing Lab.
